How deep is the water at El Cielo? El Cielo is extremely shallow — around 3 to 5 feet deep — making it ideal for standing, floating, and snorkeling comfortably. Are starfish safe to touch? No. As part of responsible tourism, we do not touch or remove the starfish — they’re sensitive marine animals. We admire them with respect, and your guide will explain how to protect them.
